English Essentials 9 A
Recovery English 9 Semester 1 is usually offered in the summer and covers K12’s English 9 Summit curriculum. The course focuses on reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language skills through exploring various genres. Students learn to read, interpret, and analyze literature and nonfiction of cultural and historical relevance for grade 9. They practice narrative, informative, and argument writing, develop presentations, and engage in peer discussions. As a credit recovery course, students must have completed English 9 Semester 2 and may test out of lessons to progress faster.
