They investigate the geologic processes that continually shape Earth’s surface and interior. Students study climate and environmental systems, including the impact of human activities on Earth’s climate. The course also examines Earth’s place within the solar system and the universe, as well as the planet’s renewable and nonrenewable resources. Students conclude the course with an exploration of Earth’s atmosphere and oceans, gaining a deeper understanding of the interconnected systems that support life on Earth.
