Developmental Algebra B
This is the first course in a two-year algebra sequence ending with Continuing Algebra. Students explore algebraic tools and principles, learning the real number system’s structure and properties. They perform operations with integers and rational numbers, work with square roots and irrational numbers, graph linear equations, solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, and solve systems of linear equations. Virtual manipulatives and graphing tools help visualize concepts. Covering fewer topics than a one-year course, Developmental Algebra allows more time to master skills before Continuing Algebra.
