INTERMEDIATE AMERICAN ART: This course introduces students to early American art, beginning with the art of the Indigenous peoples of North America and ending with the art and architecture of Colonial America. Students extend their knowledge of elements of art and principles of design such as form, texture, pattern, contrast, and balance. Students draw, paint, and sculpt their own artworks using a variety of materials and techniques, all of which are inspired by the artworks they study.
