Offered first semester, this course is the second half of a detailed two-year U.S. history survey, covering westward expansion through the present. Integrating geography, civics, and economics, students explore key moments in America’s story. They examine the impact of settling the West, social and economic changes from industrialization, and the evolving role of the U.S. in global affairs from the late 1800s through the Cold War. The course also traces major events and trends from the Cold War to the early 2000s.
