Algebra II B
Algebra II (B) is a continuation of Algebra I that deepens students� understanding of algebraic concepts and extends their ability to reason with more complex relationships and functions. Building on prior knowledge, students explore sequences and functions, polynomials and rational functions, complex numbers and rational exponents, exponential functions and equations, transformations of functions, trigonometric functions, and statistical inference. Emphasis is placed on analyzing patterns, modeling real-world situations, and making connections among symbolic, graphical, numerical, and contextual representations. Students continue to strengthen algebraic thinking practices that focus on reasoning, problem solving, and mathematical communication. The course supports learning in a variety of instructional settings, including independent, synchronous, and hybrid environments, with embedded guidance and feedback to promote student success. Throughout the course, students engage in meaningful mathematical discussion, apply mathematics to real-world contexts, and participate in sustained practice designed to reinforce learning and support long-term mathematical understanding.
