Algebra Concepts 2 A – H
Algebra Concepts 2 is the second-year course of a two-year sequence of courses in the study of Algebra 1. It is intended to cover fewer concepts more in-depth for those students who need more reinforcement.Students who successfully complete this course, and the previous course, Algebra Concepts 1, will complete an entire Algebra 1 course.Students will study and demonstrate knowledge of factoring expressions; applying basic operations on polynomials; using basic operations on rational and irrational numbers and solving simple rational and radical equations; solving and graphing quadratic functions; using exponent properties to simplify expressions and create exponential functions. Throughout this course, students will develop learning strategies, critical thinking skills, and problem solving techniques to prepare for future math courses.
