Algebra 1 B – H
In Algebra I, students will study and demonstrate knowledge of writing and solving linear equations and inequalities, interpreting linear functions, and using formulas; factoring expressions; and writing and solving systems of equations and linear inequalities. Students will also study and demonstrate knowledge of representing and analyzing linear, quadratic, and exponential relationships using tables, equations, and graphs; applying basic operations on polynomials; using basic operations on rational and irrational numbers and solving simple rational and radical equations; solving and graphing quadratic functions; using exponent properties to simplify expressions and create exponential functions; understanding and evaluating random processes underlying statistical experiments; making inferences and justifying conclusions; communicating mathematically; problem solving; and demonstrating the appropriate use of tools and technology.
