The Wyoming Department of Education Child Nutrition Division has opened registration for the in-person Farm to School Conference and Expo to be held on October 27-28 in Casper at the Wyoming Sports Ranch. The conference seeks to build stronger relationships between Wyoming school districts and local farmers, ranchers, and producers in order to serve fresh, nutritious, and locally grown food in schools. Click here to register by 5 pm on October 10.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from national speakers Sunny Baker, Senior Director, Programs and Policy for the National Farm to School Network, and Chef Brenda, a consultant for child nutrition programs and Co-Founder of SproutCNP.com, who will discuss the past, present, and future of farm to school initiatives.

The expo will also feature a showcase of Wyoming products that can be used in school cafeterias and classrooms, aiming to improve food quality for students across Wyoming while supporting the state’s historic agriculture producers.
