The School Protein Enhancement Project provides financial assistance to increase the quantity of Wyoming meat served in school meals. Grant funding will be awarded competitively to help pay processing costs for donated Wyoming poultry, lamb, pork, beef, or bison. Grant
awards will be made no later than November 16, 2026, and are dependent upon the number of grant applications received and the amounts requested.
A qualifying school must be a public school and must include, as part of the application, a description of the district’s goals for increasing the quantity of Wyoming meat used in school lunches.
