The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) will release a new single sign-on solution for software applications in a multi-phase approach. Phase I will be released on July 1 and will allow district and charter school employees to access the WDE Resource Site with a one-time password, eliminating the need for districts to provide a WyEd User Account for this purpose.

Upon launch, when an employee accesses the resources site, they will be directed to a login screen hosted by wdeid.onbio-key.com. If a user already has a WyEd account, they will need to supply their username and password and set up an email for two-factor authentication (2FA). Although the WDE will not use 2FA until phase II, this is a requirement for the first login. Employees without an account must click the “Use One Time Password” link and enter their district email. They will receive an email from noreply@onbio-key.com with a one-time password they can use to access the WDE Resource Site.

Employees will not be permitted to use personal email addresses to log in and must use email addresses reported to the WDE via student information systems or the WDE602/WDE652 staffing data collections. It is imperative that school districts ensure emails are up-to-date in staffing collections.

Phase II will be announced late summer and will include the release of a dashboard that makes all WDE applications accessible in one location. In addition, all applications will require 2FA to improve security.
