The Wyoming Department of Education will host a summer Facilitating Career Development Course specifically for Wyoming Career and Technical Education (CTE) educators and advisors. Sessions will cover the 12 competencies required to receive the work-based learning endorsement, which allows CTE teachers to award work-based learning credit to students outside of their content area.
Sessions will be virtual, taking place from June 18 to July 19, and the fee is $320. More details can be found on the registration form. School staff, counselors, administrators, and teachers whose roles will include coordinating career development and exploration programming in their respective schools are encouraged to attend. The completion certificate can be used to apply for the Global Career Development Facilitator Credential.
The course will include best practices for career advising for all age groups in various settings, and will support Wyoming districts implementing robust career development programs, providing for more consistency statewide.
