The WY-ALT Assessment Window will be open March 4 through April 11. WY-ALT is an individually administered, student performance assessment that allows students with the most significant cognitive disabilities (SMSCD) to demonstrate their mastery of grade-level-aligned Wyoming Extended Standards. The WY-ALT is administered to students in grades 3–10 in English Language Arts and Mathematics. In grades 4, 8, and 10, students also take the WY-ALT Science assessment.

Test security is of the utmost importance before, during, and after testing. Ensure that all Wyoming Assessment Security Agreements for K-12 Statewide Assessments are completed. For more information about important assessment security measures, refer to the Wyoming Assessment Security Guide

Authoring Tool (optional)

The Authoring Tool is available for Wyoming educators to build their own assessment items on the same platform as the statewide assessments. All Wyoming Content and Performance Standards (WYCPS) and Wyoming Extended Standards (WYES) are listed in this system for educators to use when creating classroom and district assessments. Refer to the Authoring User Guide for more information about how to create district, building, or classroom assessments in the Wyoming Authoring Tool. Also, log in to the Assessment Professional Development page for access to the Authoring Tool Shorts video series.
