The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) Outreach for Deaf/HH team invites Wyoming students ages 3–21 who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families to WYHI, a special event to connect with peers who use diverse communication methods and share similar experiences. The all-day event on February 21 will kick off at Casper College with breakout sessions and a presentation by deaf artist Bridget Berrigan and conclude with a bowling activity for students and families to socialize. Learn more and register by February 18.

Tentative Schedule

  • 9:45–10 a.m. All Students – Registration and social time.
  • 10–11 a.m. 
    • PreK–Grade 5: Make and take art activity and games with WDE Staff.
    • Grade 6–12: Make and take art activity with Bridget Berrigan. 
    • Parent Session – Connect with other parents facilitated by WDE staff.
  • 11 a.m.–12 p.m. All Students – Lunch.
  • 12–2:45 p.m. All Students – Travel to Boomtown Blast and Bowling.
