The Wyoming Department of Education Special Education Division Deaf/Hard of Hearing Team will host a literacy workshop, Effective Reading Strategies for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students, in Casper on October 20-21. Register by October 10.
The workshop by Vicki Alford will provide educators who teach reading to Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students at the K-3 level with strategies to use immediately in the classroom. The workshop will also support all educators in learning the basics of teaching reading to DHH students. This cost is $30.00 (plus a small processing fee), and participants will be eligible for 1.0 PTSB credit. Lunch will be provided on October 21.
