The Wyoming Seal of Biliteracy (WY-SoBL) Guidance and the District Resource Template have been updated. Districts should review these documents on the WY Seal of Biliteracy webpage on the WDE District Resource website (login required). All participating districts must complete the Intent to Participate form by September 30 each year.
The WY-SoBL encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills attained, and is evidence of skills for future employers and college admissions offices. Students can earn either the Wyoming Seal of Biliteracy or the Wyoming Seal of Biliteracy with Advanced Distinction.
Participating districts must designate a WY‑SoBL District Coordinator and should form a team to implement the program. That team will be responsible for administering English and world language assessments, maintaining accurate records, and tracking deadlines for submitting required information to the Wyoming Department of Education.
