Life Skills
This one-semester elective boosts students’ everyday living skills. Life Skills focuses on personal values, goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. Students learn to handle media and peer pressure, communicate effectively, build relationships, work with others, resolve conflicts, make decisions, and maintain wellness and safety. The course also covers good citizenship, environmental awareness, and community contribution. Organized into six units, topics include Course Introduction, Thinking about Yourself, Thinking for Yourself, Taking Care of Yourself, Caring for Your Relationships, and Caring about Your World.
