For the 2024-25 school year, children receiving special education services through Pre-kindergarten (PK) programs operated by a school district or independent charter school, will be reported by the enrolling institution on the WDE459 – December 1 student count, and the WDE457 – end-of-year student count. School districts will also report the special education PK program staff on the WDE455.
Students receiving services through a local child development center, but also enrolled in a district PK program, will be reported by the school district. Students can not be reported by both on the December 1 snapshot.
