Work Experience 3B
This course provides students credit for a work-based learning experience (employment, internship, apprenticeship, etc.) of 60+ hours. Goals may be set cooperatively by the student, teacher, and/or employer. This course includes a weekly check-in classroom activity. Students will submit at the end of the course a “portfolio” containing the following: a completed interest survey with clearly stated career goals, a cover letter, a completed resume and a letter of recommendation either from the employer and or another credible source. Note: evidence of hours worked must be submitted on a monthly basis using verifiable methods such as work verification, paystub, electronic timesheet, etc.
