Work Experience 1B
This course awards credit for a work-based learning experience (employment, internship, apprenticeship, etc.) of 60+ hours. Career goals and tasks are set by the student, teacher, and/or employer; payment is not required. Weekly check-ins include further field study or discussions about workplace experiences. At course completion, students submit a portfolio with an interest survey, career goals, cover letter, resume, and a letter of recommendation from an employer or credible source. Monthly proof of hours worked must be submitted via verifiable methods. This course may be repeated for credit.
