US GOVERNMENT
This class is an introduction to the American government system. The course concentrates on the origins of government, the development of the U.S. constitution, participation in government, the workings of the legislative, judicial and the executive branches of government, and the importance of our civil liberties and civil rights. Students will also examine the nature of state and local government and their complexities. This class may only be repeated if failed. Two projects will be used to assess student proficiency.
