Social Studies K
The kindergarten History program introduces world geography with the seven continents. Students explore the Great Barrier Reef, Antarctica’s frozen lands, and Africa’s grasslands and rainforests. They learn about climbing the Andes and riding with gauchos. Students become familiar with landmarks, people, and stories from Europe, Asia, and North America, including Canada and Mexico. American history is taught through biographies of notable figures like Columbus, the Pilgrims, Jefferson, Sacagawea, Tubman, Anthony, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Edison, the Wright brothers, Chavez, and Martin Luther King Jr.
