The first-grade History program begins a world history overview (grades 1-4) from the Stone Age to the Space Age. Through stories and activities, students learn how geography shapes civilizations and develop map skills. They explore themes like settling, innovating, building cities, creating laws, and preserving knowledge. Students become familiar with mythologies, traditions, and beliefs of various cultures, identify key figures and events linked to major world religions, and recognize lasting contributions such as democracy and civil service from different civilizations.
