Language Arts K
This Kindergarten Language Arts course introduces students to the four aspects of language use: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students begin developing print awareness, phonological and phonemic awareness, work on phonics and decoding skills, and increase their vocabulary. Early alphabetic fluency is developed along with beginning comprehension skills. They will be exposed to a variety of texts including fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Early writing skills will be developed as students respond to texts and connect ideas with language.
