Language Arts 8
This 8th grade Language Arts course focuses on the four aspects of language use: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Students build skills in those areas as they focus on comprehension skills, and improving their communication skills in both the written and oral formats. A variety of genres will be used as students improve their composition skills, fluency, and other language skills. Students learn to use language effectively indifferent contexts and for a variety of purposes. Students will analyze both fiction and non-fiction texts to find meaning, and will communicate that meaning to others.
