Digital Literacy (Online)
In this social studies and digital fluency course students will study a group of related subjects such as what digital and media literacy are and how they relate to structures of human society, civic virtue and citizenship. Students will learn how to navigate the online world with skill and how to discern mis and disinformation. They will also learn how such topics influence society and decision making among the general populous. How to view the media with critical thinking, and how to interact online safely will be important concepts. Students will also learn lenses with which to view Artificial Intelligence and how to use it with integrity. The history, effects on the economy and relativity to human experience will be attended to in this conglomerate of topics.
