3rd Grade Language Arts A
In Third Grade English Language Arts, students are introduced to various stories. Listening to stories and participating in associated activities reinforces students’ understanding of story elements and exposes them to rich vocabulary, language, and syntax. During writing instruction, students learn how to compare and contrast various topics, write a paragraph with a topic and concluding sentence, conduct opinion writing, and write personal narratives. Students continue to learn and refine skills in spelling, dictionary use, grammar, and morphology.
