New Math and Science Assessment Blueprints Available
The 2026+ blueprints for WY-TOPP Science and Math assessments, reflecting the new, reduced standards, are now available. These blueprints will be reflected on the WY-TOPP Math and Science assessments for the 2025-26 school year.
Be aware that the transitional view blueprints for WY-TOPP Math and Science, which cover both 2022+ and 2026+ standards, will only be accessible until October 1. Stakeholders should download any necessary transitional blueprints before they are removed. All current and transitional WY-TOPP (Summative, Interim, Modular) and WY-ALT Summative blueprints can be found on the Assessment Blueprints webpage.
New DTC/BC Statewide Assessment Canvas Course Training Now Live
The required annual training for the Wyoming Statewide Assessment System is now available for District Test Coordinators (DTCs) and Building Coordinators (BCs) via Canvas. This new self-paced, asynchronous course covers all critical training and updates to ensure test integrity and security. Register today.
Assessment Open Houses
Join the WDE Assessment team and assessment vendors for three virtual Assessment Open Houses. These sessions are an excellent opportunity to get questions about DTC/BC training, updates, and assessments answered.

Cambium TIDE Downtime and Go Live Update
The Cambium TIDE system will be offline from July 28 through August 1 for the annual scheduled downtime. The go-live date for the 2025-26 school year is August 4.
Desmos Calculator API v1.11: Key Updates for 2025
Desmos Calculator will update for the 2025-2 school year to include features like Complex Number Mode, Regression Templates, Recursive Functions, and Copy/Paste (from API v1.10 and v1.11). Teachers should introduce these updates to students before assessments to maximize benefits. Visit the Desmos website for Wyoming-specific information.
New Chrome OS PWA Version of the Secure Browser
Cambium Assessment has developed a new Chrome OS progressive web app version of the Secure Browser, which will be available for download on July 21. Devices running ChromeOS version 139 or later must use this new secure browser. Version 138 will be the last ChromeOS version compatible with the prior version (v8) of the secure browser. Chrome OS version 138 will be the new Long Term Support channel version, starting in July.
The LTC and LTS channels were introduced by Google to simplify device management for schools and are recommended by Cambium Assessment for OS management.

The WIDA ALT Screener Postponement until the 2026-27 SY
The WIDA Alternate Screener is a brand-new WIDA assessment. The WIDA ALT Screener launched on July 1, and while it is available during the 2025–26 school year in some states, Wyoming is postponing its rollout until the start of SY 2026–27 to ensure everything is properly set up. Training for the ALT Screener will be available in spring/summer 2026, so educators and staff should plan to complete all training by the beginning of the 2026–27 school year.
