The University of Wyoming (UW) School of Politics, Public Affairs & International Studies is offering two exciting professional development opportunities for teachers.

Wyoming Youth Resilience Project

The Wallop Civic Engagement Program seeks teachers (7th–12th grade) to participate in the Wyoming Youth Resilience Project by gathering their students’ views on the barriers and opportunities they see regarding education, employment, and community resilience. This project uses the innovative photovoice method to gather youth voices through pictures and narratives. The project will profile student responses on an interactive map on the Wallop Program website, and work with teachers to organize local showcases where students share their community profiles with local leaders and stakeholders. An honorarium of $800 will be provided for the first 30 participants who complete the project. PTSB credit is also available. Join an informational Zoom meeting at 6 p.m. on October 20 to learn more. To request the meeting link, email: wallop@uwyo.edu.
