As a member of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children (ICEOMC) and a member of the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3), Wyoming remains committed to supporting and easing the transition of military students of active-duty service members, as well as the National Guard and reserves.
MIC3 ensures military students are afforded the same opportunities for educational success as other students and are not penalized or delayed in achieving their educational goals. School districts and schools can be prepared to support military families under the Compact by ensuring personnel are familiar with the Compact rules and regulations, by providing free rule books, parent guides, and brochures to share with personnel and parents. Educators are also encouraged to view the online calendar for monthly virtual training options and register for the self-paced online course.
Current Wyoming MIC3 State Council members are:
- Chad Delbridge, Compact Commissioner and Principal, Freedom Elementary School, Laramie County School District #1.
- Thom Jones, Student Services MTSS Coordinator, Laramie County School District #1 (District with the Highest Concentration of Military Children).
