The WDE is seeking input from district leaders to recognize opportunities related to literacy outcomes. This feedback will inform the development of the Wyoming Comprehensive State Literacy Plan and work under the Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant. Complete the 2024 Literacy Needs Assessment District Leader Survey by 5 pm on April 12.
The CLSD grant advances literacy skills through the use of evidence-based practices, activities, and interventions, including pre-literacy skills, reading, and writing. A primary objective of the CLSD grant program is to develop and implement a comprehensive Wyoming State Literacy Plan that aligns and integrates state literacy initiatives, content standards, and state guidance. This work will serve children from birth through grade twelve, with an emphasis on disadvantaged children, including children living in poverty, English learners, and children with disabilities.
