The Wyoming Department of Education is offering a free webinar on March 11 from 4–5 p.m. for school administrators, special education teachers and directors, paraprofessionals, transition coordinators, DVR transition navigators, and parents. Participants will learn how to better support students with significant complex needs to achieve postsecondary success. Register to attend by March 4.
Discovery is a model for increasing postsecondary success that uses alternatives to traditional vocational assessment to learn about the unique needs, skills, and interests of students with significant complex needs beginning as early as pre-kindergarten. Discovery is an ongoing process that uses positive, person-first language to help the student’s team of support discover who they are, their abilities, and the tools they need to be successful at all stages of their journey.
