Sem 2American Sign Language for Young Learners (prior-to-secondary) courses provide instruction at multiple grade levels in American Sign Language and may apply to a range of consecutive grades. These courses prepare students to communicate authentically in American Sign Language by interpreting (reading/viewing), exchanging (signing and reading), and presenting (signing) information on concrete topics. These courses introduce the relationship among the practices, perspectives, and cultures of deaf people and communities.
