The Wyoming Department of Education is providing free online modules for Special Education teachers. The modules cover the core principles of SDI and provide evidence-based strategies to support diverse learners. Enroll in the 3-part SDI Modules and complete them at your own pace. Once enrolled, return to your Canvas Dashboard to access the training.
The modules are focused on federal requirements to ensure educators have what they need to provide appropriate instructional delivery for students with disabilities.
Part 1: Documenting SDI in the IEP is intended to provide strategies and tools for documenting SDI under Part B of the IDEA. This module defines SDI and provides an overview of the IDEA requirements for documenting SDI in the individualized education program (IEP).
Part 2: Designing SDI (The Planning Phase) is intended to provide strategies and tools
for designing SDI under Part B of the IDEA. This module provides an overview of developing a plan for sequencing and implementing SDI with meaningful learning targets.
Part 3: Delivering SDI provides strategies and tools for systematically delivering SDI under Part B of the IDEA.
