The Facilitating Career Development course covers the 12 competencies that are required for Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers to obtain the work-based learning endorsement, allowing the awarding of student work-based learning credit outside of the teacher’s content area.

The course is designed to include best practices for career advising in multiple settings and for all ages. It supports the implementation of more robust career development programs across Wyoming schools, ensuring consistency in advising students for careers beyond high school graduation.

Course completers receive a certificate and are eligible to apply for the Global Career Development Facilitator Credential. School staff, counselors, administrators, and teachers whose roles will include coordinating career development and exploration programming in their respective schools are encouraged to attend.

The orientation on September 16, and course closing on November 22 both require full day attendance via Zoom. The course will include weekly check-ins on Tuesdays and Thursdays and begins on September 23. Register for Facilitating Career Development.
