COURSE ID: MA107AYNA01
Developmental Algebra A
This first course in a two-year algebra sequence introduces students to key algebra concepts. They learn about the real number system, operations with integers and rational numbers, square roots, and irrational numbers. Students graph linear equations, solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, and solve systems of linear equations. Virtual manipulatives and online graphing tools help visualize concepts. Covering fewer topics than a typical one-year course, Developmental Algebra allows more time to master skills, preparing students for Continuing Algebra.
