Nominations Accepted Now for “Aspirations in Computing Educator Award”

The Aspirations in Computing Educator Award recognizes teachers, counselors, administrators, mentors, and other educators who encourage girls’ interest and participation in technology pursuits. Winners are publicly recognized at the University of Wyoming Women in Science conference and receive prizes including a $250 cash award, an engraved award for both the educator and educator’s school and up to $750 for participation in computing-related professional development activities. To be considered for the award, educators are asked to complete a short, online application and endorse at least one student for the NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing. Please help us to promote this directly to high school women and to your networks – both personal and professional. An information sheet is attached that can be printed and displayed. Also, please forward this email to the technology and computer science teachers at your school.

The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing is sponsored by Bank of America at the national level and Microsoft at the local level.
