Hour of Code

The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) invites you to participate in Hour of Code during Computer Science Education week in K-12 schools across Wyoming December 3-9, 2018. Hour of Code is a global movement reaching over 100 million students in more than 180 countries with a focus of expanding access to computer science and coding lessons.  We encourage participating schools to publicize their Hour of Code events through local and social media outlets and invite community members to join in their efforts. The WDE also encourages parents, teachers and students to share pictures of their events on social media with the hashtag #wyocode.

In support of this opportunity, the WDE is requesting Governor Matt Mead sign a “Computer Science Education Week Proclamation” and is encouraging all Wyoming schools to participate in Hour of Code and Family Code Night events. Be sure to register Hour of Code events on the code.org website.
