Joint Education Committee Meeting
November 14, 2019 - November 15, 2019
The purpose of this meeting is to consider draft legislation related to the Hathaway Scholarship program and compulsory attendance. The Committee may potentially consider draft legislation establishing a select committee to oversee the 2020 recalibration of the K-12 funding model pending Management Council approval. The Committee will also receive an update from the University of Wyoming’s College of Education and receive a series of reports related to K-12 school finance audits, Department of Education data collection and reporting requirements of school districts, pupil transportation rules, school safety and security, the K-12 education program, computer science, school year 2018-19 performance ratings under the Wyoming Accountability in Education Act, 2019 results on the National Assessment of Educational Progress, and the UPSTART Program in Wyoming.
