CHEYENNE – The Wyoming State Board of Education (SBE) will hold a regular meeting on April 28-29, 2016 at the Washakie County School District #1 Administration Building in Worland, Wyoming.

The Board will hear reports from the SBE Coordinator and Wyoming Department of Education Liaison on topics that include Legislative tasks, Native American education, and the Every Student Succeeds Act. Status reports will be provided on the statewide assessment and on the National Association of State Boards of Education stipend work. Afterwards, SBE Committee chairs will report on committee work, and board members will give information on conferences attended.

The board will also hear an update from the State Superintendent, presentations on the Wyoming Statewide System of Support, and professional learning communities. Lastly, the board will prepare for strategic planning sessions in May.

In addition to the above agenda items, the board will approve its meeting schedule for 2016-2017. The full draft agenda is available here and board materials will be available here at a later time.
