The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) is seeking comments from the public on the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) application process and program to inform the design of the upcoming Cohort 16 grant opportunity. This competitive five-year grant provides $50,000-$200,000 in funds to create community learning centers for high-quality afterschool and summer learning.
As we prepare for a 2023 competition, the WDE needs your feedback about what we can do to improve the application functionality, reduce the burden for applicants, improve technical assistance when completing the application process, and better support applicants who are inexperienced with managing Federal grants. Understanding how organizations experience the application process will help the WDE make decisions regarding program design and priorities while creating better processes.
