Distance Education Grant 2016-17
Applications due by midnight, July 1, 2016
The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) has released the 2016-17 Distance Education Grant (DEG) Request for Proposals in accordance with the Chapter 41 Distance Education rules. The purpose of this grant is to develop and maintain distance education programs in Wyoming.
A total of $200,000 is available in 2016-17 DEG funding for applicant Wyoming public school districts, community colleges and the University of Wyoming for the development and maintenance of distance education programs offered through the Wyoming Switchboard Network (WSN).
Funds will be awarded with priority consideration given in the following order:
- individual course design and creation;
- additional content design and creation;
- professional development, program evaluation or accreditation requirements;
- maintenance and operational needs.
Applications are due to the WDE by midnight July 1, 2016. Funds will be awarded to successful applicants by July 22, 2015. The Request for Proposals and DEG Application form can both be downloaded below.
