Wyoming Department of Education Interim Director Jim Rose is encouraging educators and families to help students engage in reading and mathematics practice during the summer months in an effort to retain the academic skills they have learned during the year. The WDE is offering two new summer learning initiatives - Find a Book, Wyoming and The Summer Math Challenge

Wyoming's search for a Director of the Wyoming Department of Education will soon enter the interview phase as the application period for the position closed May 15.

Wyoming Department of Education Interim Director Jim Rose announced the 11 recipients of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21 CCLC) Cohort Eight grant in Cheyenne today. The program helps students meet state and local standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that complement the school day academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.
